Services
Baillie & Raven provides genealogy research services, including but not limited to family tree construction, historical records research, and customized family history reports. The scope and cost of services will be outlined in a written agreement provided to the client before the commencement of any research.

Payment Terms

Fees and Payment: The client agrees to pay the fees specified in the written agreement. Payment terms, including deposits and final payments, will be outlined in the agreement.
Refunds: Due to the nature of genealogical research, refunds are not typically provided once research has commenced. However, I will work with clients to address any concerns or issues with the services provided.

Client Responsibilities

Provision of Information: The client agrees to provide all known information, documents, and materials relevant to the research. Accurate and complete information is essential for effective research.
Authorization: The client confirms that they have the authority to share any personal data or documents provided for research purposes.

Research and Results

Accuracy and Limitations: While I strive for accuracy, genealogical research is inherently uncertain, and I cannot guarantee specific results. The outcomes depend on the availability and condition of historical records and other sources.
Report Delivery: The final report will be delivered within the timeframe specified in the agreement. Delays may occur due to unforeseen circumstances, and I will communicate any changes to the timeline promptly.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Data Protection: I prioritize the privacy and security of client information. Personal data and documents provided for research will be handled with the utmost confidentiality.
Use of Information: Client information will be used solely for the purposes of genealogical research and promotional case studies with name changes to protect client's privacy, personal information will not be shared with third parties without the client's explicit consent.

Intellectual Property

Ownership: The client retains ownership of all documents and materials provided. Baillie & Raven retains ownership of the research methodologies, analysis, and reports produced.
Use of Reports: The client is granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the research reports for personal, non-commercial purposes. Reproduction or distribution of the reports for commercial purposes is prohibited without prior written consent.

Limitation of Liability
No Warranty: Baillie & Raven provides services "as is" without any warranties, express or implied. I do not warrant that the research results will meet the client's expectations or requirements.
Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Baillie & Raven shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the use of my services.

Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which Baillie & Raven operates.
Resolution Process: Any disputes arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions or my services shall be resolved through good faith negotiations. If a resolution cannot be reached, the dispute shall be submitted to mediation or arbitration as mutually agreed by the parties.

Changes to Terms and Conditions
I reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on my website. Continued use of my services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
